London Part I

"British Reserved, Not Unfriendly...The British are often more reserved in conduct than we. On a small crowded island where forty-five million people live, each man learns to guard his privacy carfully-and is equally careful not to invade another man's privacy." -INSTRUCTIONS FOR AMERICAN SERVICEMEN IN BRITAIN 1942.

It was a long bus ride. Now where do we go? ...off to see the Queen of course!

Getting closer!

Ah, there she is. Just kidding. But it is her house. They wouldn't let us come in a say "hi." Big scary man in black with big gun say "No."

For the life of me, I can't remember what she was doing, or why she was doing this.

THE QUOTE of our London trip occured here. As we were approaching this beautiful historic arch that is probably older than our country, D says "This looks familiar. I think I've been here. And I think it was in Tony Hawk Skater Pro."

Traditional English Breakfast. Bacon, Sausage, Egg, Toast, Beans on the Toast, Mushrooms, and Tomatoes.

Crumpler store! They have such beautiful bags. If anyone ever hits the lottery, one Crumpler is all I ask.

The Crumpler Man.

St.Paul's Cathedral. Our hostel was right across the street. Remarkable.

Waiting to check in. Let the festivities begin!

St. Paul's Cathedral from the Millenium Bridge, the bridge that was destroyed in Harry Potter VI. Obviously it wasn't really destroyed. I was standing on it after all.

So good to see Sarah.

The Tate Modern (Contemporary Art Museum)

The Tate entrance

View from a window in the Tate.

No yellow cabs in sight. Just these. Why doesn't America have style?

So that was Day one. Stay tuned for the next installment.
