Two Cheesy Songs To Explain How I Am Feeling

As a product of KB's persistence, I've decided to be kidnapped for a weekend to enjoy the hills of West-by God- Virginia, former home to Dick Ramsey aka Gramps.

This is the first trip I've taken since I've been back and it feels great; So awesome to be Back In The Saddle and On The Road Again. Any time I go just about any where, it reaffirms my love and need for travel. And if there is one thing I learned while I was, as my mum says, "galavanting around Europe" is that it's not where you go but the people you go with.

I'm not sure how this all ties together, but it's gonna have to do for tonight, for I must sleep. Otherwise I'll be grumpy and I will be the last person KB wants to go with.

Take me home country roads, to the place where I belong, West Virginia...

WISH ME LUCK! (that she doesn't push me off a cliff)

Pretty Freakin' Excited

So I've holed myself away in the screen printing lab since Thursday. I finally got to pull my 2nd color today. Only 4 more to go! P.S. The size of the prints are 22x30.

This as a mess up, but I'm definitely using that orange ink concoction again.

And these were the sketches that I based my design off of. My desk is a dry erase board so this happens frequently.

Update: Prints

I'm taking a screen printing course. These are inspired by this very blog and our trip in general. At the bottom of the print will be a little plane, the blog's web address, and the places we visited. I can't wait for them to be done!

Update

Time has flown since I returned. I think I have been experiencing a bit of the post-trip depression. Not to say that I am depressed though. It's a matter of things setting in. It never really set in that I was half way across the world. It never set in that my last day in Newcastle would be my last time there for a long time.

The imagery in my head is like no other. I love the memory of the brick road beside our flats and the hill that we huffed and puffed up every day.

I have two things that happened today. I discovered Three Sheets' Newcastle Episode. Three Sheets is a show on Travel Channel about...well...being...three sheets to the wind, all over the world. Anywho, upon viewing it, I became even more Toon-sick. http://www.slashcontrol.com/free-tv-shows/three-sheets/1759261470-newcastle

The second thing came after I the sickness set in. I love Google Maps Street View. Enough said.
